+I had a bit of second thought on this. I have been reading the rationale
+written by Ichbiah et al (one of the al was me) in 1985. It strongly
+emphasises the uniformity with case being matched by end case, record being
+matched by end record etc. (page 13 in fact).

+Although I would not strongly object to allowing id after end record; the
+thought of omitting record itself fills me with horrors.
