Old vintage port storage
 
 

On the Croft Port Cellars tour: Here is where samples of the older vintages of Croft Port are stored for later testing. Or perhaps some of these are just expensive vinegar. The oldest vintage that they still sell is from 1960 (for more than $2000 a bottle), but they have many older ones, back to 1851!

Not shown: A group of North American ARG members tasting, then lugging many bottles of 10 year old Tawny and LBV on the airplanes home.

Author's note: It was just as good once we got it home as it was in Porto; mine didn't last long...
