Hydrofoil reconstruction in Bell Museum

This is a reconstruction of one of Alexander Graham Bell's hyrdofoils in the museum at Alexander Graham Bell National Historial Park in Baddeck, Nova Scotia. A picture of the hydrofoil in action can be seen on the far wall. If you look very closely below the picture, you can see a portion of the original boat. Bell pioneered hydrofoil boats in the 1910s and 20s; the technology was so far ahead of it's time that it wasn't used again until the late 1950s.
